Welcome to the first of many newsletters leading up to the 2012 UK Pinball Party.
I am pleased to announced that the 2012 website is now "live" and that ticketing is now open.
Show Ticket & Dinner prices remain the same, at 2011 levels, but the price of accommodation rises by £3 a room per night. This is out of my control, unfortunately, as it is the hotel's prerogative to raise their prices. However, big savings can still be made by buying show specials.
The first year the Party was held, there was some accommodation still available on the day. Last year, due to the growth of the show, the hotel was overbooked and we were significantly short of rooms so those that hadn't booked or had left their booking until the last minute, were disappointed. We would really recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment.
So what is happening with this year's show? The answer to this is that there has been a lot going on behind the scenes.
Marco Specialties returns to be our headline sponsor for this year. They are hoping to attend this year's show to meet the UK's pinball community.
We have an A-list pinball celebrity planned for the weekend and who will be our guest speaker at our dinner evening at 8.30pm on Saturday 18th August. This evening is always hugely popular and involves other famous pinball friends from around the world sending us video messages and even addressing the audience via live videolinks! With only 80 places available for this evening, make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.
The UK Pinball Party will have a world pinballing exclusive this year!! This exciting news will be announced at the soon-to-be-launched "Pinball @ The Pipeline" event in central London on 4th-7th July. This is a UK Pinball Party-organised event so look out for news in the coming weeks.
